For their first exhibition in the UK Gregory Mass and Nayoungim have turned marketʼs space into a ʻsupermodernʼ exhibition venue by installing ʻa gallery within a galleryʼ. Regular visitors to the gallery will also notice that the artists have responded to the lighting and breezeblock walls, unique architectural features of Market Gallery, radically transforming the space for the exhibition.

Within the appropriated space the public are presented with three large structures mimicking billboards forming the letters ʻKʼ, ʻIʼ, and ʻMʼ. The structures are interconnected with delicate arrangements of un-pasted mass produced wallpaper. The artists refer to all of the pieces of work within the space as ʻnon-objects.ʼ Kim Kim is a guerilla gallery that will be recreated in a number of spaces across the globe. Gregory and Nayoung intend to reconfigure the established principles in these venues and the working methods of typical art organsations

Gregory S. Mass and Nayoungim have collaborated together for the past four years. Recent exhibitions include - ʻThe Mad Doctorʼ , La Galerie, La Friche Belle de Mai, Marseille, France. - ʻHandsome Tofuʼ , Artspace deFKa, Assen/Holland - and most recently a show at the Galerie du Jour Project Room, Paris, France (Feb. 2008), Upcoming exhibitions/residencies include an exhibition at the Shilla Gallery in South Korea and a residency at the Rondo Atelier cultural centre in Graz, Austria.
