Take the number 40 bus from the city centre and you will end
up at, Stance, where our seven selected artists will greet you
with an array of art forms that can only exist as experiences
to remember. These artists have travelled from across Britain
to request and demand your participation. The only aim at this ‘Stance’ is
to embrace and provide an insight to the diverse and complex
arena of interactive art. As socio-political as it is fun, this
is work where the indexical marks of the artist will only stretch
out and point towards you. You will have to provide your own
answers. These brave and generous practitioners will leave the
audience to contemplate and conclude.
Charlie Bosanquet has brought together local members of the
community to produce a Chinese whisper of movement that revolves
around the production of local industries.
Benjamin Gwilliam and Lee Paterson will exhibit a tapestry of
locally sampled sounds in their latest sound piece.
Gavin Peacock / The Man from ICON will provide a giant jigsaw
leaving the delicate detailing of composition completely up for
grabs with his interactive flat pack.
Reactor Party Campaign will bring Ghaos to
Glasgow as they call all cousins to start a new participatory
society.
Kevin Reid and Jason Nelson will be presenting the educational
experience in How tae come Fae Kelty.
Anthony Schrag will unbelievably risk life and death in his
passive role as a human piñata.
Whatsthebigmistry – All training provided and no previous
experience necessary in this tour of Dennistoun with the wheelie
mobeelie, this is a chance to improve our social skills with
training on how to meet people.
The work is challenging, fleeting and fresh, and leaves no space
to stand still. This is a day of Art that fights the static,
bowls over convention and yet still remains quiet and dependent
upon you.
